Welcome to Ctrl Alt Geek the podcast about all things geek.

The Show

For our first episode we talk about something real close to our hearts - the wonderful (and sometimes not so wonderful) world of podcasting.

Sharing the discussion with us were Alachia and Cypher.

Alachia kicked of her podcasting journey almost at the dawn of the whole thing and Cypher jumped on board more recently. Throw Aprillian into the mix and add a (small) touch of Jeppy and we had a good combo to get the conversation going.

The Conversation

What makes a good podcast / podcaster? Where did you go to learn podcasting techniques etc? Is a wide subject better than focusing on a narrow one? What are the best ways to foster and increase listener participation? Does the explicit tag mean 'anything goes'? How do you deal with bad reviews? Live shows. The use of music and copyright issues if you don't not stay podsafe. Making money to cover costs and more. Forming podcasting networks. The domination of iTunes and other ways to distribute. Taking a break and potential podfade.
